rage ≠ a luxury (Wut ist kein Luxus) ist ein dreistündiger Workshop, in dem wir uns mit der verachteten Stimme der Wut auseinandersetzen. Durch Körper- und Stimmübungen, Wissensaustausch und durch Klänge der Punk-/Metal-Szene wie Knurren, Grunzen und Schreien, bewegt sich der Workshop zwischen spielerischer Intervention, kollektivem „Lärmen”, körperzentrierter Forschung und einer Einführung in die raueren Facetten der eigenen Stimmbildung.
rage ≠ a luxury schafft einen Raum, um ein erweitertes Verständnis der eigenen Stimme zu entdecken. Wir greifen nach der Poesie, die jenseits der Sprache, Harmonie und Schönheit liegt.
Der Workshop ist offen für alle, die ihre Stimme erkunden möchten. Eine explizite Einladung gilt jenen, die sich mit ihrer Stimme im Rahmen ihrer Performance-Praxis beschäftigen.

rage ≠ a luxury (Wut ist kein Luxus) is a workshop format where we explore and experiment with the abject voice. Built with a series of exercises informed by vocalists/performers, peer to peer knowledge exchange, the punk/metal scene sounds of growling, grunting and screaming, these sessions situate themselves on the edges of playful intervention, informal collective ‘noising’, body-centered research, and introduction to the rougher facets of our own voice-making. rage ≠ a luxury is a space centered around collectively witnessing each other and ourselves in ugly and foolish states. This work intends to create an expanded understanding of our own voice beyond harmony and beauty, reaching for the poetics that lie beyond language.
Open to all, with a special invite to anyone who is curious to explore their voice for their performance practice. The workshop will be lead in English, all languages are welcome. One session is 3 hours long. Max 12 participants. Please register writing directly to nenehnoi@proton.me. Bring a yoga mat and/or blankets.
neneh noï is a poet currently based in Belgium. Their practice revolves around language; facilitating spaces where writing/text and performance activate each other, translation, transcription, facilitation, pedagogy, archiving, organising, iterating. Recurrent subjects are the abject, the body, hybridity, desire, the undefined, non-identities, the fractal, the unwelcome, disruption, anonymity. Their work is, among others, informed by poets, sex workers, artists, kinships. Currently and generally they are writing, archiving their gran’s and their own poetry, co-organising Anonymous Poets sesions with Kate Paul and Roya Shadmand, co-organising mediation event called DRAMA in PAF (Performing Arts Forum, Saint-Erme. France). Upcoming: publishing of their poetry collection by CUTT PRESS.
rage ≠ a luxury (Wut ist kein Luxus) is a workshop in the framework of Giulia Zabarella’s solo exhibition MEDUSA'S ASHES currently on view at Maximiliansforum München (until 28.09), in collaboration with and generously hosted by Atelierhaus Schlossalle (Büro Grandezza e.V.)
